Genetic Health Guarantee

Initial Health Assurance

As responsible and ethical breeders, we guarantee that every puppy is in good health at the time of purchase and free from visible signs of infection or contagious, communicable disease.

Our puppies are routinely dewormed and fecal tested. While every precaution is taken, no puppy can be guaranteed to be completely parasite-free. Stressful transitions—such as moving to a new home—can sometimes allow dormant parasites to surface. For this reason, we strongly recommend continuing your puppy on the same high-quality diet to support optimal gut health and immune function.

Genetic Health Guarantee (Up to 2 Years)

As holistic breeders, we provide a Genetic Health Guarantee against life-threatening or seriously disabling defects of genetic origin until your puppy reaches two (2) years of age.

We also offer extended health guarantee options. As your puppy approaches the two-year mark, please contact us if you are interested in extending coverage.

If, within the first two years of life, your puppy is diagnosed by a suitably qualified veterinarian with a life-threatening congenital or genetic defect, we will provide a replacement puppy at no cost as soon as an appropriate puppy becomes available.

We reserve the right to:

  • Require a second veterinary opinion from a veterinarian of our choice, at our expense

  • Deny claims if the puppy is euthanized, rehomed, or otherwise disposed of without obtaining the required second opinion, which will result in the buyer waiving all rights to a replacement puppy

Please Note:
This guarantee is void in cases of:

  • Undetermined or inconclusive diagnoses

  • Conditions likely caused by environmental factors, including but not limited to:

    • Poor or sub-optimal diet

    • Chemical or toxin exposure

    • Vaccinations or medications

    • Medical or surgical procedures

    • Physical trauma or injury

Required Nutrition & Diet

To support long-term health and maintain the validity of this Genetic Health Guarantee, your puppy must remain on one (1) of the following approved nutritional plans on an ongoing basis.

Option 1 (Preferred):

  • Holistic Pets Raw Fermented Dog Food as the primary diet

Option 2:

  • PawTree Freeze-Dried Raw Food as the primary diet

Option 3:

  • PawTree Kibble, supplemented with:

    • PawTree Wild Alaskan Salmon & Pollock Oil

    • PawTree Immunoshroom

    • PawTree Gastro Pro Plus

Diet Verification Requirement:
All required food and supplements must be purchased through the breeder-provided ordering links. This allows us, as the breeder, to verify that your puppy has been consistently maintained on one of the approved nutritional plans, ensuring dietary integrity and continuity of care.

Food or supplements purchased through third-party retailers, private resellers, local pet stores, or alternative online sources cannot be verified and therefore do not qualify under this guarantee.

Failure to:

  • Maintain one of the approved diets on an ongoing basis, or

  • Purchase required food and supplements through the breeder’s provided links

will result in the voiding of the Genetic Health Guarantee.

Vaccination Policy

As holistic breeders, we do not recommend vaccinations beyond those required by law, as unnecessary vaccinations may negatively impact a dog’s long-term health and contribute to autoimmune, joint, or degenerative conditions.

We provide extensive education on safe, holistic alternatives to traditional vaccinations in the Puppy Manual given to every family. We strongly encourage all owners to educate themselves and utilize these alternatives.

Important:

  • Administration of any vaccines not required by law will void this guarantee

  • If you choose to vaccinate:

    • Vaccines must be dosed by weight

    • Titers should be tested instead of administering repeat vaccines

    • Over-vaccination, one-size-fits-all dosing, or unnecessary repeat vaccines without titer evidence will void the guarantee

Sterilization, Weight & Orthopedic Health

  • If your puppy is sterilized before 12 months of age, any resulting orthopedic issues (hips, elbows, joints, etc.) are not covered

  • Only approximately 20% of joint issues are genetic; the remaining 80% are environmentally influenced, including:

    • Early sterilization

    • Vaccinations and medications

    • Injury or trauma

    • Improper nutrition or excess weight

Maintaining a healthy body condition is critical. If your puppy becomes overweight, this guarantee is void. Please refer to the Quick-Start Feeding Guide provided, which includes a weight and condition chart to help keep your puppy at an ideal size.

Death & Claims

If your puppy passes away and a claim is submitted:

  • A necropsy performed by a qualified veterinarian is required at the buyer’s expense

  • If death is conclusively caused by a severe genetic condition, a replacement puppy will be provided at no charge

Long-Term Holistic Care Recommendations

For optimal lifelong health, we recommend:

  • Continued use of the PawTree diet

  • Minimal exposure to food additives and environmental toxins

  • Hormone-sparing sterilization at 12 months or older

  • Limiting veterinary drugs to only what is absolutely necessary

Examples include:

  • Using legally required vaccines only, combined with homeopathic support

  • Avoiding routine chemical flea, tick, and deworming medications in favor of safe, food-based and homeopathic alternatives

  • Implementing naturally-based lawn and environmental care

Please refer to your Puppy Manual for detailed guidance on holistic alternatives for sterilization, vaccinations, flea & tick prevention, and deworming.

Lifetime Rehoming Guarantee

Every puppy we place is protected by our Lifetime Rehoming Guarantee.

If at any point in your puppy’s life you are unable to provide proper care, you must contact us immediately. Under no circumstances may one of our puppies ever be surrendered to a shelter or rescue.

Your puppy will always have a safe place with us.
